Re-election Campaign Announcement
May 24, 2017

As school ends, we want to thank our entire community for working side-by-side with us to increase student success, improve transparency and bring civility back to the boardroom. Jeffco is only as good as our schools are and together we continue to make them better each day.

We are excited about the future of Jeffco Schools and we want to continue to work with you to ensure the Jeffco School District is one of the best in the nation. Today, we are announcing our intent to run for a four-year term during the upcoming November election.

We believe it is an honor to be at the board table, serving the Jeffco community to enhance student achievement, attract and retain top talent and engage our community every step of the way. Over the last two years, we were privileged to recognize our students and staff as they received numerous awards and to watch our students’ grow into the next generation of leaders.

Since 2015, we are proud to have:

  1. Restored trust, respect and professionalism in the boardroom and the district,
  2. Become more competitive in attracting and retaining the best teachers,
  3. Hired a world-class Superintendent, Dr. Jason Glass, to lead our district forward,
  4. Continued to address the impact of growth in Jeffco schools and neighborhoods,
  5. Recognized our schools for their excellence with awards for 31 of our Jeffco schools from the state of Colorado, and 11 of our high schools which ranked statewide in the top 50 by US News and World Report, and
  6. Honored our students who received numerous academic, athletic, Career Technical Education and fine arts awards.

Ensuring that our students are achieving and are ready for college or a career after they walk across our graduation stages is paramount to us. But, we know as a board we won’t get there without also recruiting and retaining the best educators.

We promise to lead Jeffco to an even brighter future. We have many ideas about how to continue our efforts to improve Jeffco’s future and we want to share those with you; to get your feedback and hear your ideas.

We hope we have earned your support for our re-election and, if we have not, we will work hard to do so in the coming months.

     Brad, Susan, and Ron
